Job Description

Job Title:
CNC Machinist Job Description As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for manufacturing detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, or verbal instructions. You will use various computer or mechanically controlled machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality components. This role involves setting up and operating mills, lathes, CNC machine tools, grinders, and other equipment using mathematical and geometrical calculations. You will also be required to use precision measuring instruments to check and maintain tolerances, calculate dimensions, and ensure all surfaces of parts or products conform to specifications. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers according to complex blueprints and specifications. Retrieve job-related information, including job routings, part drawings, tool lists, and work instructions. Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools and work holding for various materials and machining processes. Document manufactured quantities and all required processes utilizing the ERP system. Perform precise measurements and inspections to ensure parts meet stringent quality control standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machining efficiency. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Assist with developing new machining methods and tooling for complex parts. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills 5+ years of relevant experience High school degree or equivalent, plus advanced training ITAR compliance Excellent attention to detail Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements Basic computer skills Problem-solving abilities Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc. Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions) Strong teamwork and communication skills Understanding and obedience to safety requirements Why Work Here? Choose from various shifts:
Day (6:30 am
  • 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday), Swing (4:30 pm
  • 2:45 am, Monday to Thursday with an 8% differential), or Weekend (5:00 am
  • 5:30 pm, Friday to Sunday with a 12% differential). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Plains, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00
  • $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
