Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to handle setup and operation of CNC machines. You'll be responsible for setting up machines, loading tools and materials, running production parts, and ensuring quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up CNC machines (mills/lathes/etc.) using existing programs and setup sheets Load and secure raw materials and tools Align and secure fixtures, tools, and workpieces Start and monitor machine operation to ensure proper function Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools Program CNC lathes by building, modifying, and combining proven code from existing programs Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain part quality Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines Follow all safety procedures and company policies Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years experience setting up CNC machines Ability to read blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Basic math skills Attention to detail and safety Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods Preferred Qualifications (Optional): Experience with specific machine brands Haas, Mori and manual. Knowledge of G-code Forklift certification (if applicable)
