Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Swiss Operator and become a vital part of precision machining excellence! In this role, you will operate and set up CNC Swiss-style lathes, ensuring the production of high-quality, intricate components used across various industries. Your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. Duties Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes, including Fanuc controls, to produce complex parts with tight tolerances. Program CNC machines using CAM software and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part quality. Conduct routine machine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and tooling to assist in setup adjustments and minor repairs. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve productivity. Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, inspection reports, and machine logs for quality assurance. Experience Proven experience operating CNC Swiss-style lathes or CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, including G-code and M-code commands; familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred. Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and mechanical assembly techniques. Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, or welding is a plus. Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or general CAD tools for part design review. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, power tools, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to work safely with forklifts and other manufacturing equipment while adhering to safety protocols. $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
