POSITION SUMMARY
The CNC Machinist is responsible for safely and efficiently operating CNC and manual equipment to support daily production. This role ensures adherence to quality standards, performs setups, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance, and collaborates with team members to maintain workflow and part accuracy. A strong focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement is essential.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of setup, programming, and operation of CNC and manual equipment. They will demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork, with the ability to read blueprints, perform quality inspections, and maintain efficient workflows. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset are essential, along with the ability to support a clean, safe, and productive facility.
ESSENTAL RESPONSIBILITES
:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility and safety and wellness of all team members.
- Responsible to ensure process adherence to all applicable quality procedures to assure quality product with priority for patient safety.
- Regularly interact in a respectful and collaborative fashion with members of the team to promote teamwork and maintain high level of morale.
- Set up, program, operate, and maintain CNC machining centers, lathes, and manual equipment using G-code to support production goals.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and write CNC programs as needed, ensuring optimal machine performance and part quality.
- Develop and document job setups, including fixture design and machining strategies.
- Manage tools and materials to maintain continuous workflow and operational efficiency.
- Perform inspections and quality checks, using measuring tools and reporting any deviations or issues.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, machinists, and project managers to ensure alignment and resolve technical challenges.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure correct dimensions, tolerances, and materials are used.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment by performing routine maintenance and supporting team efforts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to overall teamwork and plant efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of CNC machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical school degree or equivalent preferred.
High school diploma or GED required
