Job Description
About us: Shaw Industries Inc., located in Franklin, PA, is a state-of-the-art facility with cutting-edge CNC technology and is seeking highly skilled and reliable individuals to join our team! We pride ourselves on producing high-quality precision components that're used in industries worldwide. We're looking for qualified machinists who are dedicated and passionate about machining who thrive in a team-oriented environment and take pride in delivering exceptional work. (1st) and (2nd) shift positions are available with the (2nd) shift position qualifying for a shift differential pay of $2.00 Per Hour. The (2nd) shift position is a 4-day work week, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime available on Friday's.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Setup, Operate, and maintain the Machine and machine tools required to perform the task. Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure they meet specifications. Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed for precision and efficiency. Monitor machine operations and detect any malfunctions or defects. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Work with various metals and materials, ensuring proper cutting speeds and feed rates. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve processes and designs.Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred. Minimum 2 years CNC experience. Experience with CNC (computer numerical control) and manual machining. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools. Basic knowledge of programming CNC machines. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong understanding of safety protocols in a machining environment. Good communication skills. Familiarity with Fanuc control systems is preferred. Mechanical aptitude and good math skills. Experience with forklift operation is a plus. Experience with overhead crane operation.We offer:
