CNC Machinist

Job Title:

CNC Machinist Job Description Join our team as a CNC Machinist for the 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. We are seeking an experienced professional to set up and operate multi-axis CNC Machining Centers, including both horizontal and vertical lathes or mills. Responsibilities Set up and operate multi-axis CNC Machining Centers, including lathes or mills (both horizontal and vertical). Manufacture parts to meet production and quality requirements. Read and modify programs by making necessary offsets for CNC machines. Work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and/or new parts. Understand and apply G Code programming. Utilize various types of manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine shop equipment to perform machining operations on all types of materials. Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds, and feeds of machining. Essential Skills At least 3 years of CNC Machine experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience operating and setting up multi-axis mills or turning centers with live tooling. Ability to read blueprints, micrometers, veneers, and gauges. Basic understanding of G-code and M-code commands. Hands-on practice with setting up and operating a CNC machine for routine tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with manual mills and lathes. Ability to suggest changes in design involving productivity and process of manufacture. Experience in setting up and operating a variety of machines including lathes, mills, jig borers, and precision grinders. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a medium-sized manufacturing facility with approximately 60 employees across two plants. The environment can be noisy at times, typical of manufacturing settings, and the assembly area may be somewhat crowded due to parts on the ground. Steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses are required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mars, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
