About the
Role:
As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will ensure that all machined products meet stringent quality standards and specifications, contributing directly to the efficiency and success of production operations. You will interpret technical drawings and blueprints to set up machines accurately and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance. Collaboration with engineering and quality assurance teams will be essential to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvements. Ultimately, your work will support the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Experience with CNC programming and operation, including knowledge of G-code. Strong understanding of machining tools, materials, and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a formal apprenticeship or vocational training in CNC machining. Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines. Familiarity with quality control standards such as ISO or AS9100. Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders to manufacture precision parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages to execute precise machining operations. Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Inspect finished products using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications. Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to resolve production issues and improve processes. Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or defects promptly.
