Whether you are looking to build your machining career or already have experience in a manufacturing environment, this position offers the opportunity to develop your skills while producing high-quality precision components. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to manufacture parts that meet customer specifications and quality standards. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and a willingness to continuously learn and improve. Key Responsibilities Safely set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and job travelers. Perform machine setup activities, including loading tools, fixtures, and materials. Monitor machining operations and make tool offset adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy. Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify part quality. Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet print specifications and quality requirements. Identify and communicate machining, tooling, or quality issues to supervisors and team members. Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning to support equipment reliability and productivity. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and workplace safety expectations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous CNC machining experience preferred but not required; training may be provided for motivated candidates. Basic understanding of machining concepts, manufacturing processes, and shop mathematics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work safely around machinery, tooling, and manufacturing equipment. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and measuring equipment.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
