• Brake Value Stream Machinist
• to set-up and machine quality parts, perform in process and inspection checks as defined by the routing, and move materials as needed to maintain workflow.
• What You Will Do
• + Obtain job assignments from supervisor or job assignment book, including piece quantity and special instructions.

+ Read and follow standard operating procedures, engineering process sheets, and manufacturing specifications. + Pre-set tooling as needed for the job. + Set up equipment using routings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure parts meet specifications. + Machine components on assigned machines and inspect for blueprint compliance. + Work with management to improve and document machining processes. + Order gages to support production. + Clean and maintain work areas and equipment, including machine tools, workbenches, floors, and hand tools. + Oil machines and check/maintain operating levels of fluids and machine materials (e.g., coolant, filters, oil). + Move materials between workstations, cells, and the warehouse to maintain workflow. + Complete approval tickets, consult with inspection for first-piece approval, and record data as required. + Retrieve items from the tool crib and complete necessary forms/transactions. + Attend training classes, cell meetings, and perform other tasks assigned by management. + You will be required to perform mathematical calculations requiring addition, subtraction, multiplication or division and pass a pre-employment qualification test. + You will be required to perform substantial reaching and moving while standing, twisting; stooping; and be response to sounds associated to the work environment. + You will be required to lift to 25 lbs. unassisted, anything over 25 lbs. would be assisted. + You will be required to wear personal protective equipment as required. + You will be required to adhere to all EH&S roles and responsibilities as stated in manufacturing work instructions and EHS policies and procedures.

• Qualifications You Must Have
• + Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED + Minimum of 1 year CNC experience or completion of a machining certificate or degree (transcripts or certificate/diploma will be required) + Experience working with technical documents (including any of the following: routings, blueprints, Engineering process specifications, written work instructions.)
