Quality Tool is looking for experienced CNC Machinists to set-up and operate a variety of VMC's, HMC's, and Lathes. This is a full-time, skilled position in our Brookings, SD location. We process all punching, forming, laser cutting, welding, stamping, machining, turning, mechanical assembly, and laminated bus bar assemblies with the fastest, most accurate methods available. Quality Tool's customers are market leaders in the Medical, Industrial Controls, Electronics, Aerospace, and Defense. Responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust and operate machine tools to include Haas, Makino, Miyano, Nakamura, and others, determining speeds & feeds with the ability to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments & accessories.
  • Sequence automatic machine operations and define setup requirements, select cutting tools, and program proper feeds and speeds to successfully machine parts.
  • Identify optimal manufacturing processes based on part configuration and batch size
  • Inspect work, making necessary notations on work routers.
  • The nature of the work is a mix of small to medium quantity runs with frequent set-ups. Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years minimum CNC Machining and Set-up experience.
  • Experience inspecting your own parts using various dimensional tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, and Gauges.
  • Familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment, setting up, and operating CNC equipment.
  • Good attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
