Swiss Screw Machinist

FlexTrades is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist to set up and run precision Swiss machines producing small, tight-tolerance parts. This role involves frequent setups, running multiple machines, inspections, and heavy documentation. Technicians are also expected to help train and mentor full-time employees (FTEs) .

Qualifications CNC Swiss machining experience required Strong setup and changeover skills Read and interpret inch-based blueprints with GD&T requirements Comfortable with tight tolerances and fine surface finishes (16 Ra) Detail-oriented and quality focused Willing to complete Operator Acceptance Program (OAP) Comfortable with a lot of paperwork and documentation Willing to train and support others Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines (2 machines at a time) Perform multiple setups and changeovers daily Run Citizen Swiss machines (older, Mitsubishi controls) Support Star Swiss machine (newer, Fanuc controls, multi-axis, bar feeder) Make offsets, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting Run proven programs; assist with proving out newer Star program Complete detailed quality and production paperwork Work with QC for FPIs and inspections Follow GD&T requirements and hold ±0.0002" tolerances Suggest improvements to processes and cycle times Train and mentor FTEs with limited setup experience
