Machinist - Must have Certification

JOB DESCRIPTION

Using Manual Machine Shop equipment to build tooling and machine parts from both prints and existing parts. Make necessary repairs and approved modifications to tooling and machine parts as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Familiar with and capable of operating all Machine Shop Equipment. Capable and accurate with all measuring instruments associated with Machine Shop Dimensioning. Knowledge of Metallurgy as applicable to Machine Shop functions.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

Alter tooling and machine parts using approved modifications. Update necessary files and prints maintaining current updates and upgrades.

QUALIFICATIONS

Shop Math, ability to read and interpret charts to include, but not limited to such things as tapping, drilling, heading and feed rates as applied to machining operation.
