Overview:
We are seeking a high-caliber CNC Machinist to join our precision machining team in Oak Ridge. We are a specialized manufacturer producing critical, close-tolerance components for the aerospace and defense industries. If you want to see your work on satellites, fighter jets, and rockets, this is the shop for you. Unlike high-volume "button-pusher" shops, we focus on low-volume, short-run production. This is a role for a true machinist who enjoys the challenge of complex geometries and one-off parts. We need someone who is not just a machine operator, but a technical problem-solver who can take a project from setup through final inspection. We have openings on 1st and 2nd shift

- Machine parts to extremely close tolerances, often working with exotic materials and complex geometries required for flight-critical applications. Manual Support
- Operate manual equipment (mills, lathes, saws) as needed to support production and secondary operations. Blueprint & GD&T Literacy
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications, including a strong mastery of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Process Improvement
- Collaborate with engineering to verify CNC programs (MasterCam) and optimize machining strategies for better efficiency and quality. Quality Control
