What to Expect Our Die Shop is seeking a skilled and highlymotivated CNC Machinist to join the team and contribute to our mission toaccelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. As a CNC Machinist youare responsible for machining the most complex components of the dies andworking with engineers and CNC programmers to improve die production and designsfrom a machining standpoint. What You'll Do
Operate 5-axisCNC Mills in a low-volume / high-mix workflow
Readoperator/process documents and perform setups and operations as described
Prove outprograms on the floor with CNC programmers
Providefeedback to engineers, other machinists and programmers on design and processimprovement
Machine complexcomponents to tight tolerances in various materials with tight deadlines
Use variousinspection and measurement tools to validate your work
Tracking anddocumentation of machining processes and results when necessary What You'll Bring
Will need to be able to work night shift from 2:30/3:00PM CT to 1:00AM CT
6+ years of CNCmill operating experience and 3+ years of 5 axis CNC operatingexperience ondies (high pressure die casting, stampings, injection molding, etc.), particularlyon H13/H11 tool steel
Thoroughknowledge and understanding of engineering drawings, documents and GD&T
Thoroughknowledge in the use of measurement and inspection tools such as calipers,micrometers, gauge pins, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc.
Excellentverbal and written communication skills with ability to develop and presenttechnical information
Flexible withability to work overtime on short notice based on strategic needs of thecompany
Experience withbasic shop tools, Heidenhain CNC controls, lathes and maintenance, gundrill, Mill-Turn, EDM and/or large format CNC experience Compensation and Benefits
