Lathe/Mill Setup Operators Functions:
Oversee and coordinate machining operations and activities. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion. Load and unload equipment and materials. Be able to setup/operate
CNC FANUC
control. Precise setting of all tool offsets. Must have mathematical skills for calculating set-up requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry. Set up and operate machines with little supervision. Able to read and understand Engineering drawings/blueprints. Able to plan machining process, study work orders, drawings, materials, specifications, and machine capabilities. Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) and read drawings. Must be familiar with G-Code machine language. Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines.
Qualifications:
Good communication skills both written and verbal. Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields. Familiarity with plant tools and equipment. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Ability to oversee physical workload. 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC Horizontal setup. Knowledge of FANUC controls. Functional and Technical skills. Read and edit programs.
