This position focuses on precision machining, threading, and repair of drilling components including non-mag drill collars, stabilizers, subs, pony collars, crossover subs, and related BHA tools. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual lathes and threading while maintaining API and customer specifications for critical drilling tool connections. Responsibilities Cut, machine, and repair rotary shoulder connections on downhole drilling tools Operate manual lathes and related shop equipment Machine and repair non-mag drill collars, various drilling tools, and BHA components Read and interpret blueprints, machining drawings, and API specifications Perform precision measurements using gauges and various precision measuring tools Verify thread profiles, shoulder dimensions, and tolerances Maintain quality and safety standards throughout machining operations Maintain organized work area and equipment Qualifications 3+ years of manual machining experience Experience cutting rotary shoulder connections required Strong understanding of API thread forms and downhole drilling tool connections Ability to read precision measuring instruments Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to safely handle heavy equipment and materials Preferred Experience
API NC, IF, REG, FH
