Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Punch Press Operator and become a vital contributor to precision metal fabrication. In this role, you will operate and maintain punch presses and related machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, uphold safety standards, and deliver exceptional craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment and develop your skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Duties Set up and operate various punch presses, including stamping presses, CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and plasma cutters to shape sheet metal parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure precise fabrication of components Program CNC machines for complex cutting, punching, and machining tasks using specialized software to optimize efficiency and accuracy Conduct quality inspections utilizing calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications Perform routine maintenance on machinery such as press brakes, CNC equipment, welding tools, and hand tools to ensure optimal operation Use forklifts and cranes safely for material handling, loading raw materials onto machines or moving finished parts within the workspace Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve equipment problems quickly Experience Proven experience operating punch presses or similar manufacturing machinery in a production environment Strong mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including stamping, welding, CNC programming, laser cutting, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and tooling setup Familiarity with blueprint reading and the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators Ability to work with hand tools and fabrication equipment confidently while maintaining safety standards Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments Knowledge of GD&T principles for ensuring component accuracy Experience working with sheet metal materials in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred Join us in producing top-tier metal components by leveraging your technical skills and passion for manufacturing! Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
