Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines such as lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and quality in our production processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about manufacturing excellence. Duties Operate CNC machines including lathes and milling centers, primarily Fanuc-controlled equipment, ensuring precise machining of parts according to specifications Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and modify existing programs for optimal performance Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering specifications to ensure accurate production Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for each job Perform routine machine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain high-quality standards Use precision measuring instruments like dial indicators, micrometers, and height gauges to verify part dimensions during the machining process Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency in the machining process Assist with assembly operations when required using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, or plastics injection molding techniques Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathe and CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is preferred Skilled in reading blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T annotations for precise machining tasks Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling setup, calibration procedures, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and tooling selection Familiarity with SolidWorks or CAD software for part design review or modifications is a plus Experience working with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feeds & speeds; ability to perform measurements accurately under tight tolerances Knowledge of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding or welding is advantageous but not mandatory Join our team as a CNC Machinist if you're eager to apply your technical skills in a vibrant environment that values precision craftsmanship!
