Rigg's Machine & Welding is seeking an experienced Conventional Machinist to produce and repair machine parts using manual machining equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate lathes, boring machines, and other shop equipment to meet precise specifications. Key Responsibilities Operate conventional machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, boring machines, drill presses, and resurfacing machines Manufacture and repair machine parts to required specifications Perform step-down machining and precision cutting tasks Read and interpret drawings and measurements to ensure accuracy Set up machines and select proper tools to achieve desired results Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy Perform general shop duties as needed and maintain a clean work area Qualifications Previous experience as a conventional machinist required Ability to operate lathes, boring machines, and other manual machining equipment Experience with shearing, press brake operation, and layout work is a plus Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50-75 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods Comfortable working in a shop environment Schedule
