Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist and become a vital contributor to precision machining excellence! In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and accuracy in our manufacturing processes. Duties Operate CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise parts. Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust programs as needed for quality control. Set up tooling, fixtures, and tooling offsets accurately using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machinery, including electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment, to ensure continuous operation. Perform quality inspections utilizing coordinate measuring machines (CMM), dial indicators, and other precision tools to verify dimensions. Support manufacturing processes involving plastics injection molding, welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools or power tools when necessary. Skills Proven experience with CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawing interpretation. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming software, SolidWorks or CAD for design review and modifications. Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems; ability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively. Ability to read basic math calculations essential for setting up machining operations accurately. Experience working within lean manufacturing environments; knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus. Capable of operating forklifts safely; comfortable using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and supporting assembly tasks. Pay:
$27.74 - $33.41 per hour
