This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with CNC lathes and milling machines, to craft high-quality parts that meet exact specifications. Your expertise in programming, setup, and operation will directly contribute to our commitment to excellence and innovation in manufacturing. We value proactive, detail-oriented professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about precision machining. Production runs to 1 off custom parts. Shop work is across all industries (commercial, hydraulics, marine, space, motorsports, energy, etc.) Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy. Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software, ensuring efficient machining processes. Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise parts. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist with setup, adjustments, and minor repairs as needed. Collaborate with team members on lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and quality. CNC lathe with live tooling Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines or CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages like G-code, Fanuc controls or Mazatrol. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or general blueprint reading skills. Mechanical knowledge related welding is advantageous but not required. Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs confidently. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings are essential.
