CNC Machinist II - 3‑Axis Milling & Turning (Stable Aerospace Manufacturer)

Kent, WA Shift:
Swing Shift | Monday-Thursday | 2:00 PM-12:00
AM Pay:
Up to $46/hr (DOE) Position Overview We're hiring a Machinist II to support precision manufacturing programs serving the aerospace and space sectors. This role is well‑suited for a CNC professional who can work independently, handle full setups, and confidently machine complex parts in a secure, highly stable production environment. You'll be trusted to manage your own machines, interpret detailed engineering documentation, and maintain tight tolerances while contributing to continuous improvement and shop efficiency. Key Responsibilities Independently run CNC equipment with minimal supervision Set up and operate 3‑axis milling machines and 2‑axis lathes Edit and troubleshoot G‑code and M‑code using setup documentation Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and work‑holding devices Inspect parts to blueprint requirements, including critical tolerances Perform deburring and final finishing as required Prepare machines for upcoming jobs while completing current runs Support team members with machining tasks and basic troubleshooting Communicate machining or quality concerns to leadership promptly Perform routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance Follow all safety requirements and shop procedures Participate in LEAN, 5S, and cost‑reduction initiatives Support Quality System requirements and housekeeping standards Required Skills & Experience Strong background in CNC machining within a job‑shop setting Hands‑on experience with full machine setups Solid understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation Proven performance at a Machinist Level II or III capacity Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Preferred Qualifications Prior involvement with ISO or aerospace quality systems Experience in continuous improvement or LEAN manufacturing efforts Strong time‑management and multitasking abilities Why Join This Team? Occasional overtime may be available, with schedule flexibility subject to management approval. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $46.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
