Manual Machinist Pay:

$30 / HR - $35 /

Longview, WA Responsibilities:

Manual machinist will perform hands on machining operations and also support maintenance, troubleshooting/assessment, and repair work on valves (Block Valves, PSV / SRV, and/or pneumatic and electric actuators) based on skill level. Job duties include but are not limited to: Perform machining and other support operations on individual components of valves, pumps, and other industrial equipment utilizing various manual machines Perform hands-on shop work, maintenance, testing (pre/post), and/or repair of valves and actuators. Perform hands-on workshop inspection, reporting, cleaning, and reassembly of valves and actuators. Machine material and/or parts with various machining equipment. Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly as required Perform failure assessments and make recommendations to the on-site Bay Valve Service supervisor as required. Perform day to day and routine safety observations and inspections

Qualifications:

Must be able to operate Manual Lathe, Vertical Turret Lathe, Vertical & Horizontal Mills, Surface Grinders, Cut-Off saws, and drill press. Depending on specific experience it is ok if candidates do not have experience with 1-2 of the machines. Ability to read & interpret blueprints and schematics Specific experience working with valves or within the oil/gas industry is a plus Must be a team player and be open to other job duties outside of machining when necessary Must be open to OT as needed, can sometimes work 50-70 hours per week depending on customer workload. Environment /

Shift:

Machine shop environment, dusty, dirty, loud, metal shavings, good ol boys for sure.

Day Shift:

6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday.
