Overview:
We are seeking a CNC Machinist who will set up and run both large & medium sized horizontal and vertical multi axis CNC mills and / or lathes. We are a job shop and much of our work is one-off and prototype parts. Our work comes from a variety of industries including aerospace, heavy equipment, energy production, naval vessel, tooling and more. Our team are collaborative and creative with a responsibility to get the job done right for the customer.
Responsibilities:
Set up and run prototype and one-off components on a variety of CNC machinery including lathes, mills, mill-turn. Work with a variety of materials from steel, aluminum to exotics like Inconel and titanium. Read blueprints and part sheets to determine proper approach to creating precision parts. Bring ideas to the table to increase efficiency and lower downtime and scrap.
Qualifications:
Bring 5 years prior related experience in a job shop or similar prototype and R&D environment. Knowledge of and experience reading blueprints. Be well versed in geometric dimensioning and tolerance. Have a very strong grasp of and in the use of measuring and inspection equipment. Be a team player able to work well with little or no supervision, or within a team as needed. We are a professional team of journeyman level machinists who are passionate about what we do daily. We need to add to this team someone that will feel comfortable in this type of environment.
