Job Description
CNC & Manual Machinist - (Aerospace Manufacturing) Where precision meets performance—build parts that keep aircraft moving. As a CNC & Manual Machinist , you'll work across a wide range of equipment and materials, producing precision parts that demand accuracy down to the thousandth. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving complex machining challenges, and mastering both manual and CNC equipment—this is your opportunity to level up. What You'll Do Set up and operate manual & CNC machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and hobs to produce high-precision aerospace components Turn raw materials into finished parts —from small precision pieces to larger components like pistons and cylinders Interpret blueprints and engineering specs to plan setups and machining processes Work with a variety of metals including stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and mild steel Hold extremely tight tolerances (down to thousandths of an inch) while maintaining top-quality output Apply G-code knowledge across a wide range of CNC machines and control systems Inspect your work using precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges Optimize machining performance with proper feeds, speeds, and tooling adjustments Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance when needed Monitor quality closely using SPC and visual inspection plans (VIP) Collaborate with teammates to solve production challenges and improve processes Cross-train on multiple machines to expand your capabilities and versatility What You Bring Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on machining experience Experience setting up and operating CNC machines in a production environment Experience with manual machines (lathes, mills, etc.) Ability to read blueprints and machine to spec Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection processes Working knowledge of G-code and CNC fundamentals Proven ability to hold tight tolerances Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Willingness to work 3rd shift (after training) Bonus Points If You Have CNC programming or G-code editing experience Experience with both CNC mills and lathes Familiarity with DNC systems (e.g., Predator) Experience machining aerospace-grade materials Exposure to high-mix, high-precision manufacturing environments Interest in cross-training and continuous skill development Why You'll Love It Here Work on critical aerospace components in a growing, high-demand industry Access to 70+ machines , from manual classics to cutting-edge CNC equipment Shift premium pay for 3rd shift Tuition reimbursement to support your career growth Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off and long-term stability Real opportunities for cross-training, advancement, and shift mobility Your Work Environment You'll work in a large-scale aerospace manufacturing facility producing hydraulic and actuation cylinders for aircraft. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr. medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position inYAKIMA,WA.
