Job Title:
Parenteral Drug Services Operator Job Description As a Parenteral Drug Services Operator, you will demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and perform complex solution preparations with supervision. You will be responsible for assembling and disassembling process equipment and operating PLC-controlled equipment. The role requires adherence to safety practices, participation in environmental monitoring, and contribution to quality compliance. Responsibilities Demonstrate personal proficiency in aseptic technique with minimal supervision. Accurately execute development/engineering, GLP, or GMP batch records with direct supervision. Perform complex, multi-step solution preparations with direct supervision. Assemble and disassemble process equipment for various processes with direct supervision. Operate PLC controlled equipment and adjust set-points as directed in batch records. Use basic hand tools required for equipment operation. Execute in-process environmental monitoring with direct supervision. Participate in the execution of IOQs with direct supervision. Perform other duties as required by the supervisor. Strictly adhere to safety practices and procedures, including the use of PPE. Actively participate in general area housekeeping. Identify opportunities related to maintenance, calibration, and improvement of facilities and equipment. Perform responsibilities in compliance with quality systems as described in the Quality Manual. Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Conduct all batches safely by using MSDS to establish chemical hazards and observe cGMP procedures. Essential Skills Proficiency in aseptic techniques. GMP documentation and batch record execution. Multi-step solution preparation. Environmental and in-process monitoring. Following SOPs and work instructions precisely. cGMP awareness and compliance. Adherence to quality systems and data integrity practices. Understanding of cleanroom behavior and contamination control. Ability to follow
MSDS/SDS
for chemical safety. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior cleanroom or sterile manufacturing experience. Exposure to extrusion, microsphere, liposome, or polymerization processes. Experience with clinical or commercial batch manufacturing. Familiarity with IOQ/PQ/validation activities. Basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. Experience with deviation reporting or CAPAs. Familiarity with electronic batch records (EBR/MES). Previous GLP or regulated lab/manufacturing exposure. Work Environment Work in a pharmaceutical lab with a cleanroom, maintaining a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
