Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Roll Form Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and oversee roll forming machines that shape sheet metal into various building components. Your expertise in machinery operation, fabrication, and quality inspection will ensure the production of precise, durable products that meet our high standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate roll forming machines to produce metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications Responsible for making quality production parts by safely running one or multiple pieces of production equipment. Identifies complex problems and reviews related information in order to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Performs set-up machine operations as required. Ensures standard operating procedures are adhered to. Complies with all health and safety procedures. Works with the Production Warehouse and Manager on recording, tracking and meeting production schedules. Adjust machine settings and tooling to ensure optimal performance and product quality Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances Monitor machine operations continuously, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime Perform quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications Maintain accurate production logs and documentation for traceability and process improvement Assist with maintenance and minor repairs on machinery. Qualifications Proven experience operating roll forming or similar metal fabrication machinery in a manufacturing environment. Ability to actively listen and understand information and ideas through spoken words and sentences. Manages and reports measurement metrics daily. Manages assigned production and deliveries on time. Ability to work with departments on scheduling and shipping. Continuously works to maintain a clean and safe work area. Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection. Knowledge of sheet metal properties and fabrication processes including assembly techniques. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for machine adjustments. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety and efficiency.
