Lab Technician/ Machine Operator -Day shift

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing cold drawn and heat-treated steel bars. Technicians perform tensile testing, hardness testing, and impact testing. This role requires use of a CNC machine and saws to mill parts in preparation for testing. Lab technicians are an important part of insuring quality in our product.

Duties:

Use of a CNC lathe, saws, and wire EDM to machine tensile parts; Use of grinders/sanders to polish hardness samples; Use of a tensile and hardness testing machine; Monitors and performs basic maintenance of lab equipment; Insures lot/heat traceability with all our products; Data entry for testing software and material certifications; Completing and filing paperwork; Work with manager and other departments to complete tasks.

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a research laboratory or clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Data entry and basic office software skills
• Ability to analyze data effectively and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ability to learn ASTM testing and material standards
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Work Schedule:

Noon to 8pm, Monday thru
