POSITION INFO

Foundry Operator:

Works to promote vision and values by operating equipment and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

PERFORMANCE ROLES

Safety role

• Compliance and participation in safety related programs and initiatives Quality role
• Assure quality compliance for all areas of responsibility Customer Service role
• Understands customer requirements.

Ensures that the needs of external and internal customers are met on time and accurately.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Required to set up and operate equipment in the foundry as assigned by the supervisor. Required to complete safety audits and inspections of assigned area. Coordinate with maintenance in trouble shooting and analyzing problems on assigned equipment. Ensure equipment is in safe working order prior to operation. Responsible for the quality of product and will take necessary action to correct any problems that affect quality and reduce scrap. Train new associates regarding the proper use and operation of equipment. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

Prior experience working in a foundry environment is not required, but is a plus.

EDUCATION

HIgh school diploma required.
