Feed Mill Receiver 2nd Shift (7 pm to 5 am)
Location:
Center Point, Arkansas Job Description:
Feed Mill Receiver is responsible for safely unloading incoming grain and feed ingredients, verifying product quality, and maintaining accurate records. The role is hands‑on, safety‑critical, and central to feed mill operations.
Responsibilities:
Unload railcars and hopper-bottom trailers while ensuring each product is directed to the correct storage bin. Load and unload feed ingredients from trucks and railcars safely and efficiently. Take samples of incoming ingredients to verify quality and ensure they meet specifications. Maintain accurate receiving records, including release times for railcars and ingredient documentation in mill databases. Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment as needed. Prevent ingredient cross‑contamination by following proper unloading and storage procedures. Perform housekeeping duties to meet OSHA standards and keep dust at safe levels. Work outdoors as needed, including in varying weather conditions. Perform other duties as assigned, supporting mill operations
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with drivers, co-workers, and supervisors. Ability to read and follow written instructions and perform basic math. Comfortable working with minimal supervision and learning new procedures quickly. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks such as pouring bagged ingredients or checking scales. Basic computer knowledge is desirable. High school diploma recommended; agricultural or mechanical coursework helpful. EOE, including disability/vets .
