Machine Operator

Description The Packaging Machine Operator is responsible for operating automated packaging equipment in a food manufacturing setting. This role supports daily production by operating, adjusting, and maintaining packaging machinery, transferring product between departments, and ensuring finished goods are packed, labeled, and palletized accurately. The position requires strong attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Key Responsibilities Operate automated packaging equipment, including: Loading film stock for packaging bags Performing basic machine adjustments Assisting with changeovers Operate Schneider Packer FresCo GL-14 packaging equipment. Replenish fulfillment lines by packing, labeling, and palletizing bagged coffee products. Transfer coffee beans from the roasting department to packaging equipment. Transfer finished product to packaging and fulfillment areas as required. Assist the maintenance department with equipment-related tasks as needed. Clean equipment and surrounding areas in accordance with AIB (American Institute of Baking) and company sanitation standards. Complete basic production reporting and maintain accuracy when handling products. Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards. Experience with flexible packaging and packaging equipment. English comprehension required. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow instructions accurately. Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling products and documentation. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, kneel, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl repeatedly. Ability to perform physical tasks for 8+ hours per day. Ability to work on feet for extended periods. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
