Our Engineering team designs, deploys and maintains systems, with innovative and next-generation workflows, for episodic and theatrical projects shot on virtually every camera technology, from 65mm film to the newest file-based 8K systems. Our production and artist teams facilitate the highest quality picture and audio finishing to support the creative vision. The Role The role of the Swing Resource Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the day shift Creative Services resource manager team by continuing to prioritize and schedule work through our various operator groups that support IO, Dailies and finishing tasks throughout the evening as well as making sure that the day shift teams have their sessions prepared to begin without issue. The position requires the knowledge to navigate FotoKem facilities. The Swing Resources Manager should have experience with dailies & post production workflows. Knowledge of BBJ Mainframe and ScheduALL is a plus. This position involves the ability to look at the big picture scheduling overview, track changes and foresee conflicts. The Swing Resources Manager must be well organized and have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate. Primary Responsibilities
  • Managing our queue of tasks for operators in the IO, DRS and Dailies departments. Entries need to be verified by the Swing Resource Manager to ensure accurate instructions and valid work orders. As new requests at higher priorities populate the queue, the Swing Resource Manager will be responsible for reprioritizing tasks and communicating directly with our operators.
  • Managing our sessions queue requests and taking handoff from the lead resource manager to update existing bookings or to create new bookings for our finishing team.
Working with swing shift producers to ensure valid instructions and hotsheets are received for morning sessions. Ensure morning sessions start on time without issues by confirming sessions in the booking program. Working with CS Engineering to communicate specialty set up needs and session priorities.
  • Required to support clients for screenings or updates on their dailies jobs as needed.
  • Take lead on the evening shift on any outstanding dailies projects, which includes: following up on queue entries, IRA's and internal hotsheets.
  • If questions arise, reach out to clients to seek answers in order to keep dailies moving forward.
  • Ensuring queue entries are assigned out to the morning operators before departing for the day.
  • Send out end of day updates to include items completed and items that need follow up in the morning.
  • Other duties as assigned. Requirements - Experience and Skills
  • Must be detail oriented, well organized and possess strong critical thinking skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple urgent deadlines for delivery to internal and external clients.
  • Strong PC computer skills within admin programs such as Google suite tools, ScheduALL, mainframe, Production Hub and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal are a must.
  • Must be able to take direction from lead resource managers while also remaining self-sufficient when navigating new requests from our producers and operators as they arise.
  • Must be a team player and collaborate well with others.
  • Knowledge of dailies, imaging operations, color space and finishing workflows is preferred. Work Environment & Physical Activities
  • Work location is based in Burbank, Ca, onsite, in an office setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to the team environment. Must be able to communicate well, verbally, in writing, in front of a group and in one-on-one conversations.
  • Must be able to work Swing Shift, 2:30pm-11:00pm.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the expected compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $25-$35 per hour.
