You will utilize your expertise in orbital tube welding and precision mechanical assembly to ensure the integrity of complex propulsion systems that support vital national security missions. Responsibilities Execute high-precision orbital tube welding for the fabrication of propulsion subassemblies and tank closeouts. Interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics to install, route, and terminate thermal management components including heaters and thermocouples. Perform rigorous visual inspections of propulsion assemblies to verify compliance with strict aerospace engineering specifications. Operate specialized material handling equipment and ground support hardware to facilitate safe assembly and transport. Collaborate cross-functionally with design and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve procedural issues and optimize product quality. Mentor junior technicians and support knowledge transfer to maintain high standards of workmanship across the production floor. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum 4 years of experience in propulsion or high-reliability hardware assembly. At least 1 year of hands-on experience with orbital tube welding. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly procedures. Experience using precision inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and digital multimeters. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work in a fast-paced, onsite manufacturing environment. Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations and eligible for a security clearance. Preferred Skills 5+ years of experience within the aerospace or defense manufacturing sector. Advanced proficiency in thermal system component installation and harness routing. Demonstrated expertise in epoxy application and material mixing processes. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
