Filler Operator Pouch

NJFC operates three production facilities:

Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA. We are looking for a seasonal Filler Operator-Pouch I to operate the Cryovac Fillers, Imaje Printer, Video Jet and Checkweigher equipment. This role will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the pouch seals at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA. Neil Jones Food Company Key Responsibilities:

Accurate completion of filler operator documentation and required paperwork. Set-up of the Checkweigher and Image printer for production and ensures that the code is correct and is clearly printing in accordance with the Pouch Operation Sheet. Consistent monitoring of pouches being produced for defects. Verifies proper size (length) & weights of pouches being produced are in accordance with the Pouch Operations Sheet. Verifies End Seal, Center Seal and temperature settings are set according to film type and ensures correct film is always used according to the MSP.

Requirements :

Requires a High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or at least one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires the ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak English to perform the essential duties. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
