Job Title:
Manufacturing Operator Job Description The Manufacturing Operator will follow detailed procedures and instructions to unpack, prepare, and assemble components and units. This role involves moving materials between production, warehouse, and other areas, as well as performing complex assembly operations. The operator will use small hand tools and power screwdrivers to install components and ensure accurate cable and rack specifications. Quality inspections and audits are essential to this position, as well as providing training to coworkers. Responsibilities Follow procedures, instructions, and sequence of operations in unpacking, preparing components, installing components, and assembling units. Move materials between production, warehouse, and other areas. Unpack and package production materials, handling up to 30 lbs. Perform product assembly operations on complex components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies, including integration of computer parts into a chassis on an assembly line. Use small hand tools or power screwdrivers to install brackets, small components, and labels on products. Install rails to elevation on rack specifications, identify and scan labels for rack specification. Identify and label cables for rack specifications using a cable labeling machine, and cable racks and server components. Conduct various product and quality process inspections, document inspection results by completing reports and inputting data into a quality database. Conduct daily audits of assigned areas, verify tools for proper torque and calibrations. Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed. Perform any additional assigned tasks. Essential Skills Production experience Assembly skills Cable and electronic assembly knowledge Understanding of schematics and inspection processes Experience with assembly of large servers Ability to unpack electronic parts and assemble following instructions Capability to move and lift up to 50 lbs. Familiarity with chassis, hand tools, power tools, wiring, and labeling Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to regularly lift, push, and move items Ability to stand for prolonged periods Capability to work on ladders Manual dexterity Strong attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a team environment Effective communication and ability to follow verbal and written instructions Advanced understanding and familiarity with manufacturing documentation Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
