ODS offers state of the art publishing solutions through high-speed digital printing (color and black & white), automated composition, offset printing, warehousing and fulfillment services. Who You Are We seek an Inserter Machine Operator I, 1st Shift to work out of our Los Angeles, CA hub center. Our inserters provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of our machines. Previous inserting or pneumatic/hydraulic machine operation is a huge plus. Location and Shift Hours 12655 Beatrice Street, Los Angeles, CA 90066 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; Monday to Friday, + OT offered Compensation and Benefits Starting pay $19 Hourly HMO and PPO health insurance options (Kaiser or Aetna) Employer paid PPO Dental by Aetna 2 weeks PTO, + Holiday Schedule Matching 401K Eye care Life insurance Many more perks! Duties and Responsibilities Set up inserting equipment at the beginning of each job according to the specifications provided on the job ticket Insert address tags into mail sacks, or mail trays used for bulk mailing of ID cards, kits, and catalogs Maintain equipment, troubleshoot problems, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed Keep work area in order and follow prescribed safety regulations Able to read postal statements and sort mail accordingly Make adjustments as required to return output to the proper specifications Direct and supervise the work of helpers on the machine Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager Communicates status of jobs to department manager Follow standard operating procedures according to the department's guidelines Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements A minimum of two years' experience in a printing or mail inserting environment, or operating large pneumatic and hydraulic machinery High school graduate, or completion of GED preferred Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of work Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization Support and meet company/department goals and core values Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals Inserter Machine Operator I, 1st Shift, Los Angeles, CA - Please Apply!
