JOB SUMMARY

The Helper operator provides constant support to the General Plate department. This individual is responsible for completing the daily production schedule and ensuring optimal quality for all work completed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Inspect in-process parts for General Plate o Communicate directly with inspector on quality concerns o Work directly with rackers on technical improvements and efficiency o Blast, rack, and de-rack parts o Provide constant support where needed o Accountable for good attendance and punctuality o Inform management of quality issues and problems in department

Q Supporting Job Functions:

o Assist with in-process and Final Inspection companywide, as needed o Assist with plating material vendor relationship o Communicate performance metrics with department

REQUIRED SKILLS

o Ability to read and write in English o Legible handwriting o Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously o Basic sketch and blueprint reading skills o Use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages) o Detail-oriented o Basic computer skills o Basic mathematics skills o Positive, can-do attitude with excellent attendance and punctuality o Must be able to work independently with little supervision after completion of the training period

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

o Ability to stand and/or walk on your feet for extended periods of time o Must pass a drug test and criminal background check o Ability to lift and move 50 pounds without mechanical assistance

PREFERRED SKILLS

o Bilingual (English/Spanish)

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

o High school diploma/

GED Pay:

$16.90 - $18.00 per hour
