Job Description

Plating Operator - 1st Shift Summit Interconnect - Orange Division Summit Interconnect currently has an opening for a 1st Shift Plating Operator at our Orange, CA location. Summit Interconnect is a leading manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards, specializing in complex rigid and rigid-flex products. We are recognized for our unique expertise in RF and microwave applications, supporting high-performance industries with innovative solutions.
Position Summary:
Obtain resist thickness from traveler. Set appropriate speed on conveyor and run product in the most efficient manner. Monitor machine and perform limited preventive maintenance, cleaning screens and adding replenisher. Under general supervision manually submerges panels and/or operates repetitive plating and wet process machines to electroplate circuits onto panels. Manually performs or operate machines requiring standard setups, monitoring and periodic adjustments in speed, temperature and/or chemical levels. Checks levels of chemical baths and may perform adds as directed on assigned processes. Performs manual operations including machine loading. Operates repetitive plating and wet process machines to plate circuits onto planes, e.g., deposition process.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of four (4) years in the printed circuit board industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Responsibilities:
To operate all Wet Process and supporting equipment with little supervision. To make set-up decisions which conform to customer specification. To evaluate and discontinue processing of non-conforming product. To follow production control scheduling. To maximize productivity. To review all travelers.
Required Skills:
Understanding of industry standards and appropriate application. Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with management and supervisory staff. Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures. Must be able to work with little supervision. Strong knowledge in military and rigid flex boards.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum four (4) years experience in the printed circuit industry.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Compensation/Benefits:
Summit offers a variety of health and benefit programs. Which include Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA plans, Hospital and Accident plans, Life Insurance, FSA, PTO, Matching 401K, and Paid Holidays. Benefits are effective 1st day of the month following date of hire. Pay Range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00 hour based on experience.
