Job Title:
Machine Operator Assistant Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator Assistant who will support machine operators with setups, changeovers, and tooling adjustments. The role involves bundling steel from production lines, moving finished products to designated areas, and maintaining cleanliness by sweeping, organizing, and removing debris or scrap. You will work across multiple production lines, both technical and structural, stack products on pallets, label them, apply stickers, and use banding equipment. Operating jib cranes, saws, and other tools safely for material handling and cutting is also part of the job. Additionally, you will measure products, coils, and tooling components for quality control and setup accuracy, follow daily housekeeping procedures, adhere to safety rules, assist with welding alignment, restock supplies, and perform basic machine maintenance. Measure products, coils, and tooling components for quality control and setup accuracy. Follow daily housekeeping procedures and general safety rules. Assist with welding alignment, supply restocking, and basic machine maintenance. Perform additional tasks at specialized workstations and consult supervisors when unsure. Essential Skills At least 1 year operating machinery within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Bilingual ability strongly preferred (Spanish). High School Diploma or GED. Ability to stand for entire shift. Ability to push/pull/move/lift 40 lbs. Must be open to working 1-2 hours of overtime per day. Safety conscious. Strong initiative. Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction. Additional Skills & Qualifications Open to experience as candidates will be trained on all procedures. Why Work Here? The work environment includes operating machinery and tools in an industrial setting, with a focus on safety and teamwork. A shift differential is provided for this time slot. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out ofPITTSBURG, CA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.67 - $20.67/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
