- 1st and 2nd Shift Openings Job Description As a Cleanroom Technician, you will be responsible for kitting, filling, and packaging operations, preparing manufactured cartridges for shipment domestically and internationally.
The role involves working in a temperature-controlled setting and operating various process equipment to ensure smooth manufacturing flow. Responsibilities Perform kitting assembly operations and prepare cartridges for shipment. Conduct filling operations ensuring correct product placement in flow cells. Operate process equipment such as balances, pneumatic presses, pumps, and heat sealers. Perform simple bulk formulations as required. Follow detailed work instructions housed in a cloud-based computer application. Seal flow cells using heat sealing machines, ensuring proper alignment to prevent rejects. Label flow cells accurately, ensuring QR codes and batch records are readable by sequencers. Cut excess foil using specialized machinery. Essential Skills Experience in assembly, cleanroom operations, packaging, and filling. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred. Team player mindset and strong communication skills. Proficiency in using Outlook and Microsoft Teams. Ability to perform laboratory inspections, batch recording, and labeling. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfortable leading a fill and pack line. Willingness to learn or experience in small volume aliquoting (less than 1mL). Manufacturing experience is preferred. Work Environment The position requires working in a cleanroom environment, adhering to safety protocols including wearing lab coats, shoe covers, hair nets, and safety glasses. The role is based on the 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, with an initial adjustment period of 9am to 5pm during the first week. Employees must be willing to commute to the manufacturing site in San Diego, CA starting in October. Overtime expectations are currently low.
