  • Job Description
  • The Manufacturing Associate supports production by trimming excess rubber, inspecting parts for defects, applying glue to specific areas, and assisting with molding operations. This role works with small parts and hand tools in a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment, helping ensure that all products meet quality and performance standards.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Trim excess rubber from parts to meet quality and dimensional standards.
+ Carefully inspect parts for defects and ensure only acceptable components move forward in the process. + Apply glue to grooves and other specified areas of parts using small brushes with precision and consistency. + Assist with molding operations, including preparing materials and handling molded parts. + Work with small parts and hand tools to complete production tasks accurately. + Operate machinery safely and according to established procedures and guidelines. + Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient production flow. + Follow written and verbal work instructions and adhere to all quality and safety standards. + Collaborate with team members across different production areas such as molding, bonding, and warehouse as needed. + Stand or sit for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Approximately 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Strong attention to detail when working with small parts and repetitive tasks. + Ability to operate machinery safely following established procedures. + Comfort working with small parts and hand tools in a production setting. + Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time while maintaining focus and productivity. + Capability to follow detailed instructions and quality standards consistently.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience in general labor, general production, or similar roles. + Familiarity with molding processes or rubber manufacturing is a plus. + Experience working in a machine shop, bonding, or warehouse environment is beneficial. + Ability to work effectively as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment.

The environment is described as very safe and clean, with established processes and clear work areas. Multiple shifts operate at this location, including a larger first shift, a mid-sized second shift, and a smaller third shift. Work involves standing or sitting for extended periods, handling small parts, using hand tools, and operating machinery while following all safety guidelines.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $18.00
  • $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
