Polymer Technician Shift/Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Pay Rate:
$25.00/hr

Polymer Technician Job Duties include:
Polymer Processing:
Process, test, and refine bulk polymers and gels for column packing and bulk shipping.
Chemical Functionalization:
Functionalize polymers including, but not limited to, sulfonations, alkylations, and aminations.
Gel & Polymer Processing:
Process sulfonated gels for column manufacturing, as well as processing and sizing bulk polymers.
Laboratory Maintenance:
Maintain, order, and clean glassware, alongside tracking and ordering general lab supplies.
Hazardous Waste Management:
Handle hazardous materials and waste, and perform weekly hazardous waste/materials monitoring.
R D Collaboration:
Work closely with the Research & Development team to enhance the existing product line Other duties as assigned Polymer Technician Preferred Skills include:
Technical & Software Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and specialized Beckman Coulter Multisizer Polymer Bead Sizing Software.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to collect and research data, follow strict workflows/procedures, identify data relationships, and synthesize complex information.
Job Knowledge & Autonomy:
Strong ability to learn and apply new skills quickly, understand how the job relates to others, and operate effectively with minimal supervision.
Safety & Security Practices:
Deep adherence to safety procedures, proper equipment/material handling, and proactive reporting of potentially unsafe conditions.
Professional Competencies:
High dependability (meeting attendance/punctuality guidelines), strong cooperation (working actively to resolve conflicts), and a strict focus on quality and productivity standards.
Polymer Technician Requirements may include:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Abilities:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Abilities:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts (such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume) and apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions, and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables.
Physical Demands:
Ability to frequently stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel; regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell.
Work Environment:
Ability to work safely in an environment with a moderate noise level and frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen Must provide 3 professional references Benefits of working with
