Job Title:
Machine Operator - 1st shift Entry Level - Get into a production environment! Must be mechanically inclined and want to do machine operation and documentation. Job Description The Setter is responsible for performing and planning mold changes, including setting all process parameters to ensure high-quality production of rubber parts for the aerospace industry. This position requires working from 6am to 2:30pm, with overtime starting at 4am, and the ability to work Saturdays. Responsibilities Maintain adherence to company policies, safety and ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices. Conduct part changeovers and setups to maximize productivity and minimize downtime and scrap during compression and injection molding. Set process parameters such as temperature, cure time, bumping, and pressure for production approval. Perform light maintenance and troubleshoot process issues. Regularly check molding parameters for a stable production process. Verify corrective action for all red tags. Transport molds to and from the tool shop and prepare them for setup. Conduct minor tool repairs and de-nicking. Ensure all requirements for setup, including loader boards and mold release, are available. Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the organization's needs. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude Ability to lift 35-50 lbs daily Capable of working in a fast-paced environment Eager and positive attitude Additional Skills & Qualifications Past production or manufacturing experience is a plus Spanish language proficiency is acceptable Motivated and willing to learn the trade Why Work Here? Being an ITAR facility, it adheres to strict regulations and standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.
