Opportunity:
The Pumice Operator in the Photo department performs pumice scrub cleaning for outer layers to prepare for coating and Hot Roller Laminator (HRL) process and ensures that all jobs are processed in accordance with Team leader direction, Traveler information, work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. This is a temporary assignment with potential to become permanent.
What You'll Do:
Reviews and verifies Traveler information and prepares the layers for cleaning process Cleans panels using the Pumex machine and/or using the manual pumice station Rinses using hose and uses the tabletop dryer to dry the panel; adjusts the dryer speed as needed Bakes panels using the vacuum oven Removes excess pumice from wash station on monthly basis and remakes chemistry per company schedule Maintains equipment according to maintenance schedules and company procedures Visually inspects panels after processing for non-conformances Performs other department-related tasks as needed
What You'll Bring:
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently Ability to read and understand documents such as Travelers, standard operating procedure, instructions and safety rules in English to the degree necessary to perform the job Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated Must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures Must be able to work overtime as required
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 2nd Shift (4:00pm to 12:30am) Overtime and Saturdays as required
