Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a Sheet metal Laser Operator with a background in sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating Mitsubishi/Amada laser cutting machines and a solid understanding of the different metals, metal processing, blueprint reading, and quality control standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate laser cutting machines (Mitsubishi preferred) Load and unload sheet metal materials safely and efficiently Interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work orders Adjust machine settings to ensure precise cuts and optimal efficiency Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues Understanding on how to Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards Maintain a clean and safe work environment Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to meet deadlines Qualifications 2+ years of laser cutting experience in a sheet metal environment preferred Experience operating Mitsubishi laser systems strongly preferred Knowledge of various metals (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Basic computer skills and familiarity with laser controls Strong attention to detail and quality Experience with nesting software is a plus Forklift certification
