Looking for a Plating Technician job where you're more than just a number on a clipboard? Here's what it takes to succeed with us. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR regulations. Experience in metal finishing, plating, manufacturing, or chemical processing environments. Ability to use microscopes, magnifying equipment, and precision hand tools. Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and production documents. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices and proper PPE usage. Preferred Experience with copper oxide blackening processes. Experience deburring small or precision components under a microscope. Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or customer-specific finishing specifications. Experience performing solution maintenance, chemical testing, or process monitoring. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform copper oxide blackening processes according to established specifications and procedures. Prepare components through cleaning, degreasing, rinsing, and surface preparation processes . Inspect parts under magnification for surface defects, burrs, edge conditions, and cosmetic quality. Perform precision deburring using microscopes, hand tools, abrasives, and micro-finishing techniques. Monitor process parameters including chemical concentration, temperature, and immersion times. Maintain accurate production records, process documentation, and traceability information. Follow all safety, environmental, and chemical handling procedures. Perform routine maintenance on processing equipment, tanks, heaters, and ventilation systems. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve processing or finishing issues.
