Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Opportunity | Los Angeles, CA

Cardiothoracic Surgery PA opportunity in the Los Angeles county area with a highly respected cardiac surgery program affiliated with USC. This is a full continuum CT Surgery role offering a strong mix of OR, ICU, floor management, pre/post-op care, and light clinic responsibilities within a collaborative 2-provider APP structure.

Position Highlights:

Monday-Friday schedule 5x8 schedule | Typically 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM One clinic day per week 80% inpatient / OR responsibilities with some outpatient clinic time Alternating OR and ICU/floor responsibilities every other day with the other CV PA Every other weekend call beginning Friday evening through Monday morning Shared weekday call rotation alternating with the other

PA Clinical Scope:

First assist in Cardiothoracic Surgery cases OR, ICU, floor, pre-op, post-op, and clinic coverage Average 3-5 open hearts weekly plus 3-4 TAVRs Exposure to minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery including da Vinci robotic procedures Endoscopic vein harvesting required Endoscopic radial harvesting strongly preferred

Additional Details:

Team consists of 2 USC-affiliated CV surgeons, additional private practice surgeons, and a highly supportive leadership structure Approximately 120 heart cases annually with a couple of cases per week Candidate may occasionally assist at Santa Monica location, though not required Relocation assistance available Excellent opportunity for someone seeking broad clinical exposure and autonomy in a respected Southern California program The surgeons are very supportive and open to helping develop ICU/floor management skills if needed, though EVH and radial harvesting experience are highly valued.

Pay:

$130.00 - $150.00 per hour
