Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our team as a Weighmaster at our cement plant. The Weighmaster plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate measurement and documentation of materials in compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.
Responsibilities:
Material Weighing:
Operate weighing equipment to accurately measure incoming and outgoing materials such as cement, aggregates, additives, and other raw materials. Verify quantities and ensure adherence to specified weight limits for trucks and containers.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing materials, including weight measurements, truck information, and material types. Prepare shipping and receiving documents accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Quality Control:
Monitor material quality and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular inspections of weighing equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
Communication and Coordination:
Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant operators, and other team members to facilitate smooth operations. Coordinate with logistics and production teams to prioritize material handling activities as per production schedules.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in industrial weighing operations is preferred. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Familiarity with weighing equipment and systems; experience with scales, weighbridges, and related software is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices relevant to industrial operations. Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production demands. Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed. #
