Brand UNFI Job Overview:

Responsible for moving product. A forklift operator at UNFI is required to have a strong understanding of their lift, the pallets associate is carrying, productivity measures, and safety procedures.

Rate of Pay:

Starting at $23.25/Hourly + $1.25 freezer differential

Schedule:

Current available schedules are 4 AM and 1 AM, 5-8's work schedule, DC closed on Saturdays. Sundays are a mandatory work day! Stand-up reach truck experience required. Will be trained to use a high-reach truck with a fork-mounted camera. Primarily works in temperatures below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Freezer operation Applicants must understand this position has the same lifting requirements as an order selector. Required to lift up to 100lbs. Schedule depends on business needs. Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Reports to the receiving office at the beginning of each shift for the daily assignment, vehicle inspection sheet and replenishment discrepancies sheet. Inspects assigned lift and completes vehicle inspection sheet. Replenishes pick slots using the view request screen. If no requests exist, uses the manual replenish screen to fill empty or almost empty slots. Maintains correct counts and logs any discrepancies in inventory. Cuts and removes shrink wrap from all knockdowns. Removes all empty pallets from pick locations and aisles. Separates the good, bad, and blue pallets and neatly stages in pallet staging area. Parks and recharges lift in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift.

Job Requirements:

Understanding of Safety guidelines. Strong knowledge of applicable warehouse functions and RF systems. Warehouse/Operations preferred but not required. For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate's first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI's commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
