Job Summary:
Performs inspection and packaging of magnesium parts. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
N/A Duties/Responsibilities:
Processes manufactured parts per job instructions, pack verified amounts, and label appropriately. Report out on workstation for DMS (Daily Management Systems). Constructs boxes for packing at assigned workstations. Visually inspects parts for defects as noted in Job Data Packages or work Instructions and sample boxes to ensure quality parts are being packed in compliance with specified requirements. Understands production records and is able to keep accurate counts of accepted, rejected and scrapped product as noted on shift Report Sheets. Lifts and carries boxes (up to 50 lbs.) to pallets for movement to shipping or storage. Can use pallet jack to move pallets of boxes or totes. Responsible for keeping the assigned workstation well organized, clean and neat by following the 5S structure present. Alerts shift Lead Operator of machine malfunction or scrap quantity issues. Maintains effective working relationships with other coworkers. Additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work with coworkers in a team environment. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Ability to maintain and understand records and data, as well as complete required shift documentation. Ability to document accurate production reports. Must be able to run 5 workstation applications independently at 6-month mark. Ability to use two and four wheeled hand trucks, pallet jacks. Continuous mental and visual attention to quality of products produced. English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to work any shift as required. Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED 0-6
Months Experience Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.). Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Requires manual dexterity. Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment. Frequently moves from waist level to floor level. 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Monday through Friday)
